Browse AI is committed to providing a user-friendly and efficient platform for all your web data extraction/automation needs. To further enhance the user experience and simplify our product structure, we’re excited to introduce Workspaces.

What is a Workspace?

A Workspace is a shared environment where you and your team can collaborate on your data extraction needs. This allows you to have all your robots in one central location, making it easier to work together and achieve your goals.  

Each new account gets a default workspace, which gets 50 credits per month. For free! 🎉  

Why the change from Teams to Workspaces?

Prior to this, users had both "personal" and "non-personal" accounts. We found that users often struggled to see the difference between these account types, which made navigating the dashboard harder than it should be.

Workspaces address these challenges by providing a unified and streamlined approach to account management, collaboration, and data organisation.

• Upgrading your plan is now seamless, with no need to switch between account types or migrate data.

Key Features of Workspaces

• Each workspace has a unique name and URL, making it easy to identify and access.
• You can easily invite teammates to your workspace to collaborate on projects and share data.
• Assign different roles (Owner, Admin, Member) with varying levels of access and control within the workspace.

• Manage billing and subscriptions for your entire team in one central location.
• A streamlined onboarding process makes it easy to get started with Workspaces and invite team members.

Who has access to Workspaces?

All users can create new workspaces in their accounts. However, only the first (default) workspace is free and receives 50 credits. Each new workspace must be upgraded to a paid plan to make use of Browse AI.

Inviting new members to workspaces

Workspaces that have been upgraded to the Team plans and above can invite additional members. Free, Starter, and Professional plans do not allow for inviting new members. 

Teammate roles

There are three main roles within a Workspace:

• Owner: The workspace owner (who is usually the creator) has full control over the workspace, including managing members, robots, settings, and API. They can also transfer ownership to another user.

• Admin: Admins can manage most aspects of the workspace, similar to the owner. However, the owner, or another admin, has the authority to remove or demote admins.
• Member: Members can build, run, and delete robots within the workspace. The workspace owner or an admin can also promote members to the Admin role, or remove them.

Creating a new Workspace

Want to collaborate with different teams or organise your robots for various projects? Browse AI's Workspaces make it easy! Each workspace functions as its own independent dashboard, making it easier to manage different projects, and collaborate with specific teams. Here's how to create a new workspace:

• Step 1: In the top-left corner of your Browse AI dashboard, click on the workspace dropdown menu, then choose + Create New Workspace button at the bottom.

  

• Step 2: A new window will appear, prompting you to name your workspace. Browse AI will suggest a default name, but you can customise it as you like:

  

• Step 3: Click the "Confirm" button to create your new workspace. Your workspace will be created:

  

That's it! Your new workspace is now ready. You'll be taken to the workspace dashboard. To start building and using robots in your new workspace, you'll need to subscribe to a paid plan. Browse AI offers a variety of plans to suit your needs, and you can explore them on our pricing page.
