Browse AI makes it easy to export your robot's data for analysis, sharing, or integration with other tools. You can export any tab from your robot's Table in CSV or JSON format, with all your applied filters respected in the export.
Export options overview
File format options:
CSV format: best for spreadsheet applications like Excel, Google Sheets.
JSON format: ideal for developers or when integrating with other applications.
Filtered data: any filters you've applied will be reflected in your export.
Historical data: choose whether to include or exclude previous versions.
How to export data into a CSV and/or JSON file
Step 1. Start the export process
Navigate to your robot's Table view.
Select the tab containing the data you want to export (main tab or any list tab).
Add any filters to your data if required.
Select Show Historical Data if required
Having this unchecked shows you the latest data only.
Having this checked gives you all historical data.
Click the Export button located in the upper right corner of the Table.
Step 2. Configure your export settings
In the Export modal that appears:
Select your desired file format(s):
CSV (comma-separated values).
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation).
Or select both options to get both formats.
Review the export summary, which shows:
Which tab/list is being exported.
Whether historical data is included.
Any filters being applied.
We provide a summary of what you'll be exporting. In the screenshot below, notice that only list "Discussion Threads" is being exported and No historical data is being included.
Step 3. Download your exported data
After clicking Export Data, you have two ways to access your files:
Option 1: Direct download from Table
The file will begin downloading immediately.
A record of the export also appears in your Table for later access.
Option 2: Email download link
Browse AI sends an email with a download link.
This link remains active for 24 hours.
Useful for sharing the export with team members.
In the event that you have several downloads ready and aren't sure what's included in each, hovering over the question mark icon will tell you what was exported.
Troubleshooting export issues
If your download doesn't start
Check for browser pop-up blocks.
Look for a pop-up blocker notification in your browser address bar.
Click Allow or Always allow pop-ups from Browse AI.
Try the download again.
Other common issues.
Large files may take longer to generate (wait a few moments).
Check your downloads folder as the file might have downloaded without notification.
Try using the email link if direct download continues to fail.
Clear your browser cache if problems persist.
Tips for effective exports
Use filters before exporting to get precisely the data you need.
For regular exports, consider setting up a workflow or integration.
CSV works best for data analysis, while JSON is better for technical uses.
Very large datasets may take longer to export.
You can always re-export data that's already been captured.
