Browse AI Google Sheets integration only appends data to your spreadsheet by default. This means that over time if you're extracting data regularly to Google Sheets, your spreadsheet can quickly become crowded with historical data.
The Browse AI for Sheets add-on includes an auto-delete feature that helps keep your spreadsheet clean by removing older rows automatically.
Prerequisites
Browse AI for Sheets add-on installed
A Google Sheet that's already connected to an approved robot
Setting up auto-delete
Open your Google Sheet and click Extensions in the menu bar
Select Browse AI for Sheets > Experimental features
In the sidebar, enable auto-delete by checking Auto-delete old rows when I open the spreadsheet
Configure your settings:
Delete rows older than (in days): choose how many days of data to keep
Date column name: enter the header name of your date column (the add-on will use this date column to find out how old each row is)
Sheet name: should be already set to the name of the current sheet in which you want to delete old rows automatically.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that your sheet has a column for the date. Otherwise, the auto-delete feature will not work correctly.
Important considerations
Every time you open this sheet, the Browse AI for Sheets add-on will remove captured data older than 10 days automatically
All column data in deleted rows will be removed, including any manual entries
Your spreadsheet must have a date column for this feature to work
Deleted data cannot be recovered, so consider backing up important historical data
Managing auto-delete settings
You can modify or disable auto-delete at any time:
Go to Extensions > Browse AI for Sheets > Experimental features
Uncheck the auto-delete option to disable, or adjust settings as needed
Troubleshooting
If rows aren't being deleted:
Verify your date column header matches exactly
Check that your sheet name is correct
Ensure your date column contains valid dates
Confirm you have the latest version of the add-on
