FAQs

Q. What does it mean when a plan says X number of websites?

This means that for the allotted number of websites on your plan, you can build an unlimited number of robots. The personal plan, for example, gives you 5 websites. That means different websites, not different pages on the same website.

Examples

Each of the bullet points below represent a single website

All of these live on the same core domain, and are subpages on that one website.

  • website.com, website.com/products, and website.com/pricing

  • site.net, site.net/properties/ny, site.net/agents/la, site.net/buyers

  • store.co/products, store.co/sales, store.co/events, store.co/sellers

Across all the bullet points, this would be 3 different websites: website.com, site.net, and store.co.

Each of the bullet points ALSO below represent a single websites

The pages are ultimately subdomains, but they share the same core domain.

  • company.io/pricing, help.company.io, jobs.company.io, press.company.io

  • us.store.com, ca.store.com, uk.store.com, mx.store.com

  • california.homes.co, texas.homes.co, newyork.homes.co

Across all the bullet points, this would be 3 different websites: company.io, store.com, and homes.co.

Note: If you're scraping similar pages on a single website (this includes subdomains of a site) you likely only need to create a single robot since the structure/layout are the same. Learn more.

Q. How do add-on websites work?

You can add more websites to your plan, rather than upgrade the entire plan. This provides convenience and flexibility.

  • Free: add-on websites N/A

  • Personal: On annual plans, additional websites are $4/month, paid annually. On monthly plans, additional websites are $5/month, paid annually.

  • Professional: On annual plans, additional websites at $2.40/month paid annually. On monthly plans, additional websites are $3/month, paid annually.

  • Premium: Users on this plan can customize this.

Q. How do add-on credits work?

You can add more credits (these are one-time and not recurring) to your plan, rather than upgrade the entire plan. This provides convenience and flexibility.

  • Free: add-on credits N/A

  • Personal: On annual plans, extra credits are $0.024 per credit. On monthly plans, extra credits are $0.030 per credit (minimum top-up is 1,000 credits).

  • Professional: On annual plans, extra credits are $0.022 to $0.017 per credit. On monthly plans, extra credits are $0.030 per credit (minimum top-up is 1,000 credits).

  • Premium: Users on this plan can customize this.

Q. How do unlimited robots relate to the number of websites?

As the word "unlimited" suggests, there is no limit to the number of robots you can train on a single website. If you want to scrape 100 different pages on competitor.com then you only need a single website.

As mentioned above, if you want to scrape competitor.com, help.competitor.com and blog.competitor.com that would still be considered just one website.

Q. Can I delete all the robots from one website, and then open up a "slot" to scrape a different website?

Yes, that's how it works. If your plan gives you 5 websites to scrape, and you delete all of the robots for one of those websites, you will regain that "slot" and be able to scrape a new website in its place.

Note: Doing so will permanently delete the robots and if you want to re-scrape that particular website, you will have to re-train a robot(s).

Q. Why would I add users to a workspace, and what can they do?

Inviting someone to a workspace means they can collaborate with you.

Workspace roles determine what actions members can take:

Owner:

  • Full control over workspace settings

  • Manage members and permissions

  • Transfer ownership

  • Access all robots and API settings

Admin:

  • Manage workspace settings

  • Add or remove members

  • Configure robots and API settings

  • Cannot transfer ownership

Member:

  • Build and run robots

  • Access shared workspace data

  • Cannot modify workspace settings

  • Cannot add new members

Note: On the Free and Personal plans you can invite 2 extra users, for a total of 3 users (including you, as the workspace owner). On the Professional plan, you can invite 9 extra users, for a total of 10 users.

Q. For annual plans, is there a monthly limit on credits I can use?

No. For annual plans, you get all of the credits upfront. You can use them however you see fit during the 12 months of your subscription.

Examples

With the Annual Professional plan with 60k credits, you could:

  • Use 50,000 credits in the first week, no credits for the next 6 months, then the remaining 10,000 credits in a single day.

  • Use 3,000 in the first month, 12,000 two months later, then 5,000/month for the next 9 months.

  • Use 5,000 credits per month for the first 6 months, then 10,000 credits per month for the next 3 months, and 0 credits in the remaining 3 months.

You get the idea. Unlike monthly plans, where the limit for the plan above (for example) would be 5,000 credits per month, annual plans give you the entire year's worth of credits for you to "spend" as you'd like.
