What are Batched Failure Email Notifications?

Browse AI is committed to providing users with a seamless and efficient experience. One area where we've identified room for improvement is in how we notify users about task failures. Previously, some users would receive large volumes of error emails, making the information hard to digest. To address this, we've implemented a new system of batched error emails designed to provide a more organised insights to users currently receiving a high volume of error emails. 👇

Why?

Before this change, users received individual emails for every robot error, creating a high volume of emails that can be hard to read and get insight from, when users run large numbers of tasks.

To tackle this problem and enhance user experience, we're introducing a new system of batched failure emails. Instead of receiving multiple individual emails per occurrence, users currently receiving a high volume of failure emails will receive a consolidated digest summarising all robot errors within a specific timeframe, which they can customize on their dashboard.

This update offers several key benefits:

  • Fewer emails in your inbox
  • Easily identify and prioritise critical issues through a more organised overview

Enhanced email content

Failure emails will now be more actionable, providing insights into which robots need attention within your chosen timeframe, their overall success rate, and links for improving your robot's success rate:

Customisable notification settings

You'll gain greater control over your email notifications. You can now tailour the frequency of failure alerts, choosing from options such as:

  • Instantly - If you want to maintain the current behaviour of receiving separate notifications for each robot failure, you can select this option.
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Never

You can adjust these preferences within your dashboard settings:

What to expect?

  • New users will default to the Instantly notification frequency, and be moved automatically to Weekly frequency if we detect a high volume of failure emails.
  • Existing users currently receiving a high volume of failure emails (e.g. >12 a month) will be switched to Weekly notification frequency.
    • We'll send a separate email to existing users, letting them know about their new default notification frequency and how to adjust it.
